Product Overview

Harvestree: autonomous acquisition unit, thermal energy harvesting, and ecosystem.

What is Harvestree?

Harvestree is an autonomous data acquisition unit that can interface with a wide range of sensors. It is designed for industrial measurement and remote supervision, with a strong focus on low power and long lifetime.

Key characteristics

AspectDescription
PowerThermal energy harvesting: the unit powers itself from a temperature gradient of about 10°C or more between the mounting surface and ambient air. No mains or battery replacement in standard use.
Measurement ports4 ports with industrial M8 connectors. Internal conditioning and multiplexing allow many software-configurable measurement types to be associated with compatible physical probes (see Catalog).
RadioBusiness data is sent over LoRaWAN. Remote commands and reconfiguration are supported via downlink.
Operating modesSeveral modes optimized for low consumption and long life, supporting different use cases (periodic monitoring, alarms, standby, local integration).

Sensor options

The product can work with:

  • User-wired generic probes — after approval by the Harvestree manufacturer, to ensure compatibility and safety.
  • Catalog — qualified probes, mounting accessories, and product references.
  • Custom sensors — specific integrations in partnership with MOIZ (custom requests).

Measurement modes are configured in software and matched to the physical probes connected to each port. For port measurements and calibration, see Measurement ports and the Measurements technical reference; for payload decoding and remote tuning, see Communication and LoRaWAN remote configuration. For application modes and alarms, see Operation.

Ecosystem

ElementRole
Embedded softwareUltra low power and optimized data flows for field robustness and long lifetime.
Payload decodersConditional universal decoders decode business data from LoRaWAN uplinks; see Communication for context.
LoRaWAN remote configurationDownlink commands and parameter reference for field tuning (FPort 4 / ACK on FPort 2).
Harvestree ToolboxProprietary PC software to identify the device, run diagnostics, configure it, perform calibration or field expertise, and update the application firmware.
